Principle Sessions Judge G Chokkalingam, who had reserved orders on the case yesterday, recalled the NBW when the petition filed by Vijayakant, leader of the opposition in the assembly, came up for hearing.
The Judge posted the case to July 29 for further hearing.
The Court had issued the NBW against the actor-politician on July 1 after he failed to appear in response to summons.
The case was filed against Vijaykant in December 2012 on behalf of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for his alleged defamatory remarks against her in an interview to a regional television channel, criticising spending of public money on advertisements.
