MLA from Kulgam Tarigami alleged the developmental and livelihood issues have taken a back seat in the state.
"Corruption is at its peak, power supply is erratic, unemployment is rampant, people are facing acute shortage of essential commodities and health care system has virtually collapsed in rural areas," Tarigami said.
He said the daily wagers and other temporary employees are going without wages for months, with artisans and small businessmen facing huge crisis and the peasants being in acute distress.
Tarigami alleged that in the last two years, the PDP and the BJP have been merely courting controversies over trivial issues to divert the attention of people from basic issues.
