CPI General Secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said in a release that the CPI Central Secretariat had decided to accept Narayana's candidature from Khammam.
CPI Khammam District Council and CPI Telangana State Election committee has made a recommendation to the effect.
The Left parties have traditionally been strong in the Khammam district and CPI(M) has already named its candidate for the parliamentary constituency.
CPI is likely to have an electoral understanding with Congress in Telangana region. Both parties have in principle agreed to have the understanding, but they could not reach an agreement on seat-sharing owing to pressure from ticket aspirants.
Simultaneous polls to Lok Sabha and undivided Andhra Pradesh would be held on April 30 in Telangana region and on May 7 in Seemandhra.
