The division has thus registered an increase of 14.2 per cent in the revenue collection than last year, a release from Nagpur division of Central Railway said here.
In July alone, the total revenue collected was Rs 208.99 crores as against Rs 148.76 crores in the corresponding period last year, showing an increase of 40.6 per cent.
The revenue from freight during the four-month period was Rs 738.11 crores as against Rs 653.94 crores last year (12.9 per cent higher).
On the passenger revenue front, the division earned Rs 145.92 crores in April-July period as against Rs 119.92 crores last year, an increase of 21.7 per cent.
Besides, Rs 37.02 crore was collected in July alone from the passenger traffic as against Rs 27.90 crore last July, an increase of 32.7 per cent, the release added.
