A criminal carrying a reward of Rs 1.5 lakh on his head was arrested here Sunday, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, Sarojini Nagar police and crime branch sleuths arrested Sameer alias Raka from near Transport Nagar metro station, the Lucknow Police said in a statement.
A pistol, five cartridges and Rs 11,000 in cash were also recovered from the arrested person, it said.
A number of cases pertaining to attempt to murder, bank robbery, dacoity and under the Arms Act were registered against the accused in Lucknow, Faizabad, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh and Gonda, police said, adding that he was sent to jail.
