The order, which came to effect today, will remain in force till December 23, Sub-divisional Officer of Dalbhum, Prem Ranjan, said.
Ranjan said action would be initiated against organisations and political parties taking out procession, staging demonstration or putting up road blockade, use of government buildings for political purposes such as holding meeting, public addres system without prior permission.
Besides, the district administration also warned of action against any individual or institution registered or committed to any political party from setting up camp, extending greetings or free distribution of any items during forthcoming Chat Festival or Muhurram as such move would be considered as an attempt to woo people in favor of that particular political party and violation of code of conduct.
