The opening ceremony was held in the premises of 187 Bn CRPF at Battal Ballian.
The Second in Commandant 187 Bn CRPF, Anil Gupta was the chief guest, who formally declared the championship open.
A total of four Battalions and one Group Center of Agartalla Range are participating in the championship, said Gupta.
He also informed that the matches will be played at Badminton Hall of Mini Stadium Udhampur.
In the singles category, the first match was played between 189 Bn and 190 Bn while 186 Bn and 189 Bn locked horns in the second match.
