A 40-year-old daily wager was today found dead on the road near Chamahandi area in Odisha's Ganjam district, police said.
The circumstantial evidences suggest that B Enketeswar Patra, who worked at a construction in the district, was stoned to death, inspector in-charge of Chamakhandi police station, Chitta Ranjan Behera, said.
Prima facie, it seems personal enmity was the reason behind his killing, he said.
"A police team along with sniffer dogs has been pressed into service to find out more details in the case," he said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
