Police said two youths - Ritesh Agrawal (22) and Suraj Balai (20) - who made the video have been arrested, while main accused Dipesh (22) is still absconding, SC/ST Welfare Police Station's Deputy Superintendent Ashutosh Mishra told PTI.
The 17-year-old girl allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her Panchvati Colony residence last night, following which she was rushed to a hospital where she died.
The trio had invited the victim to take part in a birthday party on January 30 in an isolated house where Dipesh had allegedly raped her, while Suraj and Ritesh made video of the act, the DSP said.
Dipesh then repeatedly raped her by blackmailing her and also threatened to make the video public, he said.
A few days ago, Ritesh went to the victim's residence and demanded Rs 50,000 from her father failing which he threatened to make the video public, Mishra said, adding the girl was deeply disturbed with it and took the extreme step.
