Dana Steel resumes operations in Libya

Dubai-based Dana Steel, a division of DANA group which has its manufacturing facilities in several countries including India, has resumed its full-fledged operations in Libya.
Products mainly supplied to Libyan market by the group include steel coils, cold rolled steel coils, hot rolled steel coils, galvanised & pre painted coils, profiled sheets and profiles, roll-formed products, stainless steel utensils & water heaters.
This is in addition to its strong FMCG division handling exports of frozen chicken & meat products, biscuits, carbonated drinks, canned fruits to the Libyan market.
B S Dana, Managing Director of Dana Group, yesterday said, "I started my career in Libya, and I wish to do my best in being a part of the reconstruction of Libya."

To cater to the emerging needs in construction and infrastructure sector, Dana Steel has opened its new marketing office and Manufacturing Plant at Misurata, Libya.
Dana Steel Factory at Misurata is continuously scaling up its current production capacity.

Facilities available at Dana Steel Factory shall be fully automatic steel coil service machine, fully automatic cut-to-length coil machine, high precision coil slitting line, roll forming machines for Channels, purlins, profiles, roofing sheets and sandwich panels.
Value added steel products under production at DANA steel Factory, Libya are Metal sheets/slits, Perforated Metal sheets, Profiles, Roofing metal sheets, wall panels, roof and wall panel - Rockwool/polyurethane sandwich panels, c purlin, z purlin, structural steel U channel, Galvanised U channel, C channel, Strut Channels, Slotted angles.

Very soon a fully automatic ERW pipe mill will be part of the industrial complex in Libya.
