Hitting out at Congress for observing the "death anniversary of acche din" as Modi government completes one year in office, BJP today said the opposition party should realise that people observed its (Congress') death anniversary a year back.

"What death anniversary of acche din will they observe? People of this country have observed their (Congress') death anniversary a year back. In Rs 12, you do not even get to buy a shroud and we are giving insurance to crores of people for that amount. Isn't this acche din? The Congress is only trying to revive the morale of party workers that has hit an all-time low," BJP state unit president Raosaheb Danve said.

He was talking to reporters on the occasion of the BJP-led Central government's completion of one year in power.

He claimed that Modi has performed "miracles" in his one-year stint.

"So many scams had taken place while the UPA was in power. We are trying to undo all the losses India suffered due to them. But, Modi ji has performed miracles in the first year itself," Danve said.

He claimed that there is no more corruption in the government, the country's economic situation has improved considerably and that it is a pro-farmer government.

He said that the BJP will contact every member enrolled recently with the party through the 'Maha Sampark Abhiyan' wherein all party members would strive to strengthen the organisation till the grassroot level.

The BJP has decided to organise a 'Prashikshan Shivir' (orientation workshop) for party workers across the state, Danve said.
