Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked the Chatra police to look into an extortion allegation by a person by the extremist outfit Trititya Prastuti Committee.
Disposing of public issues at the Jan Samvad programme at the state secretariat, Das asked Chatra Superintendent of Police A K Jha to look into his complaint and initiate immediate action.
The complaint made by Umesh Singh said that the TPC had beaten him up for not giving Rs 10,000 even after coughing up Rs 30,000.
He alleged that the police did not take any action when he approached them.
