The burial, which took place late last night, was attended by several people including state ministers like Azam Khan, Ahmed Hasan and BSP's Rajya Sabha MP Munkad Ali.
24-year-old Abida Manjoor, a medical student at Meerut- based Subharti Medical College, had gone with her friends to Rishikesh and was washed away in the strong current after she slipped and fell into the river during rafting on May 9, police said.
The body was recovered yesterday from barrage area, 14 km from the scene of the drowning incident, Laxmanjhula police station in charge Amarjeet Singh said.
