"Amma (as she is fondly called by AIADMK cadres meaning mother) is completely well and I was told she is on normal diet. Amma is able to read newspapers. Very soon she will return home," party Spokesperson Vaigai Selvan told reporters after visiting the hospital.
For the second day today, AIADMK cadres greeted the news of Jayalalithaa being shifted to special room by offering special prayers and celebrating by distributing sweets.
Later, the Hospital said she was being treated for lung infection and added she was put on a comprehensive line of treatment including antibiotics, respiratory support and passive physiotherapy.
A team of doctors of Apollo, Dr Richard from a London hospital and specialty doctors from AIIMS Delhi attended onher.
