The company had posted a net profit of Rs 56.76 crore in July-September period of the previous fiscal, DB Corp said in a BSE filing.
Net sales on consolidated basis were up 10.45 per cent at Rs 521.02 crore as against Rs 471.70 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal. Total expenses were at Rs 399.74 crore, up 2.35 per cent from the year-ago period.
"Our performance till date reflects a strong top line growth with an ever better profitability growth despite a challenging market situation," DB Corp Managing Director Sudhir Agarwal said.
Radio segment revenue rose 24.58 per cent during the quarter to Rs 29.85 crore.
Company's advertising revenue was up 8.94 per cent at Rs 374 crore during the quarter as compared to the year-ago period, the company said.
In the first half of the ongoing fiscal, DB Corp's consolidated net profit increased 58.97 per cent to Rs 192.47 crore as against Rs 121.07 crore in the six-month period a year ago.
Shares of DB Corp were trading at Rs 433.10 on BSE during the afternoon trade, up 8.46 per cent from previous close.
