DD to show documentary on SAIL's good governance activities

A 30-minute documentary showcasing the country's largest steel producer SAIL's good governance activities will be telecast on DD National on Tuesday.
The documentary is part of the initiatives being undertaken by state-run companies like SAIL for vigilance awareness week beginning from Monday.
"A 30-minute documentary on the theme 'Vigilant India, Empowered India' showcasing the good governance activities in SAIL will be telecast on DD National in the programme, 'Aaj Savera' from 8 AM to 8:30 AM on October 27, 2015," a press release issued by SAIL said.
The documentary highlights the well established system of vigilance activities in SAIL. These vigilance practices promote good governance and aim to achieve highest levels of transparency and fairness, it said.

The Central Vigilance Commission organises vigilance awareness week annually to raise awareness about harmful effects of corruption. This year it will be held between October 26 and 31 on the theme 'Preventive vigilance as a tool of good governance'.
"The vigilance awareness week is being celebrated every year and coincides with the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known to be a man of high integrity," an official statement said.
Besides the regular activities of display of banners, posters, advertisements in newspapers and holding lectures, panel discussions, competitions, the Commission this year is reaching out to college and school students across the country in a big way.
