DDA enhances floor area ratio of hospitals

In a bid to boost healthcare sector in the national capital, the Delhi Development Authority today decided to enhance floor area ratio of hospitals from 200 to 375.
FAR 250 is now allowed for plots located on roads less than 24 mt width, FAR 300 for plots located on roads having width between 24 mt and 30 mt and FAR 375 for plots on 30 mt and above width roads, officials said.
To meet out parking requirements, additional space would be available in the form of podium parking, they said.
DDA has now also permitted activities like staff changing room, staff dining facility, kitchen, laundry, radiology labs in the basement without counting into the FAR.
The proposal will be now sent to Urban Development ministry for final approval.
