Jayanthi and Amuda died on December 23 and 26 respectively during delivery, following blood loss due to bleeding and contracted uterus, police said.
While two others women, with serious condition, have been sent to Coimbatore for further treatment, another woman was admitted to the Government Hospital here. District collector, P Shankar, who along with RMO, Amaravathi Rajan, visited the hospital told reporters in the evening.
As a 4-member special team of gynaecologists from Coimbatore, formed by the heatlh department, to inquire into the incident reached the hospital, the parents and relatives of the women laid siege of them and wanted to come out with real facts about the death.
