L Srinu (35), a resident of Anigandlapadu village of Penuganchiprolu mandal of Krishna district, had taken three acres of land on lease for cotton farming.
He suffered a huge loss due to failure of the crop because of which he was unable to clear the debts.
Stressed over his financial crisis, Srinu consumed pesticide at his home last evening, police said.
He was rushed to Nandigama Government Hospital, but he succumbed on way, they said.
He is survived by wife and two children, police said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
