"The decision to refuse to provide property details of Chief Minister and his colleagues under the RTI Act was not by the Government but of State Public Information Officer (SPIO) designated under the RTI Act," Haryana Chief Secretary D S Dhesi said, adding the SPIO had exercised his "quasi judicial powers with his wisdom."
"If one is not satisfied with the decision of the SPIO, an appeal can be made to the higher authority as specified under the Act," Dhesi, while reacting to news reports that appeared in a section of the press today that Haryana government has refused to disclose the property details of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his ministers under the RTI Act, said.
The authorities reportedly refused to provide any information on the pretext that "it was of personal nature.
