"PCS officials have an important responsibility to implement the schemes of the government and they have fulfilled this responsibility very well," he said while addressing the inaugural two-day annual general meeting of the PCS Association here.
"Officials have cooperated with the government and the development works seen today were result of their efforts," Akhilesh said, adding the government was thankful to the PCS cadre for their contribution in schemes such as distribution of foodgrains in the drought-hit Bundelkhand region early this year, construction of Lucknow-Agra Expressway in a record time among others.
In the past four years of the SP government, 240 PCS officers have been promoted to IAS cadre, Akhilesh said, adding he believes that government employees should get all their rights.
