The incident happened on Wednesday when the victim, a resident of Devli Khanpur area in Delhi, was returning home after meeting her husband's friend in Faridabad, a police official said.
A case was registered yesterday against the accused on the complaint filed by the woman, he added.
According to the complaint, the woman was waiting for a bus to Delhi at Bata Mod on GT Road on Wednesday evening, when an unidentified man in a silver coloured-car stopped beside her and offered to drop her to Khanpur Devli area in Delhi in return of fare.
The woman, who had fainted during the ordeal, found herself lying near a bridge after regaining consciousness, the official said adding, she then contacted her friend using mobile phone of a motorcyclist and was dropped home by the friend.
Investigations into the case are in progress, police said.
