The deadline, which earlier was slated as October 28, has now been extended till November 16.
According to Trade and Taxes Department, the step has been taken on the requests of the traders and will benefit lakhs of traders of Delhi, who are busy due to festive season.
The returns are to be filed in Form DVAT-16, DVAT-17 and DVAT-48 alongwith required enclosures, said a statement issued by the department.
The notification about the extension of deadline has also been uploaded on the department's website and the returns will be filed online.
