Sisodia also appealed to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to direct DDA to release property dues running into Rs 1,400 crores to the three municipal corporations.
He alleged that an attempt is being made to vitiate the atomosphere that Delhi government is not cooperating with the MCDs deliberately by not releasing funds to civic bodies.
"The coming days are important for Delhi as India-Africa Summit involving around 3,500 delegates of 45 countries is being held here.
Listing out the details, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Delhi government has released more funds to all three MCDs till October this year.
"I want to remind that till October 2014 when Centre was running Delhi through LG, North MCD was given 58.58 per cent of funds, but the AAP government has released around 75 per cent of funds till October this year," he said.
The Deputy CM also said that till October 2014, South municipal corporation had got 56.91 per funds while Delhi government has given 68.68 per cent of funds so far to MCD and besides, East municipal corporation had been given 58.24 per cent of funds till October last year, but it has received 63.48 per cent of funds from the city government this year.
Sisodia also recalled that Rs 1,400 crore worth property dues was pending with DDA and appealed to Centre through the Lt Governor that they should intervene in the matter and ask the DDA to release its dues to the civic bodies so that the issue of shortage of funds could be resolved.
