This fund can be used for developing several facilities in market areas like parking space, toilet complex and resurfacing of roads.
Addressing the representatives of GST Market Support Committees here, Kejriwal said that the AAP government wants to promote trade and industry in the national capital.
"I want to request Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to create a separate fund for the development of infrastructure in the city markets in the next budget," the chief minister said.
"Such decision will be taken in general body meeting of market associations where we will ask traders about their issues," Kejriwal said.
He also said that 28 per cent tax slab under the Goods and Service Tax (GST) should be reduced.
Sisodia, who heard traders' issues for over an hour at a meeting of market committees, also demanded abolition of the Integrated GST (IGST) that is levied on inter-state supply of goods and services.
"IGST is a needless tax. There is no need of IGST," he said.
In such meetings, traders raise their issues pertaining to the GST.
According to Sisodia, he has raised traders' issues in the GST Council Meeting after being informed about them in the meeting of GST Support Market Committees.
