"We have decided to set up around 300 fever clinics in the city to deal with cases of dengue this year. Tests for dengue will be conducted at these clinics," Jain said.
"These clinics will become operational from September onwards. We are fully prepared for any emergency," he added.
According a senior Health department official, these fever clinics will be set at mohalla clinics, hospital and dispensaries. Government has also appointed nodal officers for these clinics.
According to a municipal report released yesterday, 39 dengue cases have been reported in the national capital.
Jain said out of this 39 cases, 14 patients were from Delhi while 25 were from outside Delhi.
Yesterday, Union Health Minister JP Nadda held a meeting with Jain and Mayors of Delhi's all municipal corporations to review the preparedness for prevention and control of dengue in Delhi and NCR.
