Delhi health dept to offer jobs to acid attack victims
Press Trust of India New Delhi The Delhi health department has decided to offer jobs to acid attack victims in its units, in a move to help them rehabilitate.
This was informed by Health Department officials to Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal, who thanked Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain for the decision.
Maliwal said the DCW was also holding talks with officials from other departments to facilitate jobs for other victims also.
Last month, the commission chief had written to all ministers of the state government urging them to facilitate jobs for acid attack victims in their respective departments.
The DCW which is working with the Delhi government to rehabilitate acid attack victims has collected CVs of 33 victims and forwarded then to various departments.
