Jung stressed the need for policy formulation, and said special attention is required towards homeless women and children as they are the most vulnerable.
Jung visited night shelters at Yamuna Pusta, Yamuna Bazar (near Hanuman Mandir), Jama Masjid and Asaf Ali Road.
During his visit, Jung reviewed arrangements like food, security, medical facilities and other infrastructure in the night shelters.
At Yamuna Bazar night shelter, he interacted with the residents and assured them regarding use of vacant space as a permanent night shelter there.
Jung also directed officials to shift all nearby shelters to the night shelter at Asaf Ali Road.
