The award was presented by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on the occasion of 'Passport Sewa Diwas' in the capital.
The award was received by Special Commissioner of Police (Intelligence) SBK Singh on behalf of Delhi Police.
Delhi Police was adjudged as one of the four best out of States/UTs which received the award on the occasion for submitting the verification report within a period of 13 to 19 days.
"This was possible only because of the commitment and hard-work of Special Branch officials towards giving best service to the people of Delhi," Delhi Police said in a statement.
