Seeking to inculcate road safety habits among teenagers in Delhi, the city police today kick- started a summer camp for them.
The camp, which was inaugurated by Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik today, will cater to students of Standard VI-XII, a senior traffic police officer said.
The summer camp will continue till June 9 and there will be four batches held during the day that will be of five days' duration. Each batch will have 100-150 students.
During the camp, the students will also learn self- defence techniques and how to respond to emergency situations.
Patnaik opined that activities like these will go a long way in inculcating good road safety habits among students and will help them grow up into sensible, sensitive and responsible road users.
