Delhi wakes up to cloudy skies, MeT hints at thunderstorms

There was promise of some relief from the blistering heat in the national capital today as Delhiites woke up to partially cloudy skies.
The minimum temperature was at 30.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal, with the weatherman hinting at the possibility of thunderstorms or dust storms occurring in some areas of the city.
With the sky set to remain partly cloudy for the rest of the day, the maximum temperature is expected to settle at 43 degrees, according to the MeT officials.
The maximum was yesterday recorded at 43.6 degrees, easing slightly from the record-breaking spree when it stayed above the 45-degree mark.
Humidity in air recorded till 8.30 A.M. Today was 40 per cent.
