Demi Lovato is 90 days sober, the singer's mother Dianna De La Garza confirmed.
The 26-year-old singer has been in rehab since being hospitalised for an apparent drug overdose in July.
In an interview to Sirius XM show, De La Garza said she is proud of her daughter for working on her sobriety.
"She has 90 days. I couldn't be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it's work. It's very hard. It's not easy, and there are no shortcuts," she said.
De La Garza said she was unsure what led to Lovato's relapse.
"I knew that she wasn't sober. I didn't know what she was doing because she doesn't live with me and she's 26," she said.
Lovato had apologised for no longer being sober in her ballad "Sober," released in June.
