The 'Skyscraper' hitmaker said she feelt like a parent when an all girls group placed third in the reality show's last season, reported Access Hollywood.
"I just got to see Fifth Harmony's music video and I, literally when I started watching it, I started tearing up.
"It was because I had been there from day one. It's that proud, almost parent feeling," she said.
Lovato, 20, also revealed that she gets satisfaction to see groups like Fifth Harmony and Emblem3 doing better day by day and that is the reason behind her return as a judge in the show for a second season.
Other than Lovato, the panel of judges on Fox reality show comprises Kelly Rowland, Paulina Rubio and Cowell.
