The entire contingent, with the exception of a 2-3 wrestlers, was supposed to leave tonight for Las Vegas for the September 7-12 competition, but about a dozen of them could not get their passports today because of some "miscommunication".
"The entire team, except one coach of the women's wrestling team, had cleared their visa interviews yesterday and were suppose to get their visas and passports today. But when a person from WFI went to collect the passports today, some miscommunication happened. That is the reason around 10-12 passports couldn't be collected today," a source in WFI told PTI.
"As such there has not been any problem with the visa. It's just that some of our wrestlers didn't get the passport today," said the source.
The Indian team comprises 24 wrestlers in total, excluding the support staff and coaches.
