Development focus on extremely naxal-hit areas

Jharkhand government has identified 13 extremely naxal-hit regions in the state for their all round development.
Basic services would be provided, besides generating self-employment and strengthening of the administrative system, Rural Development Minister Nilkanth Singh Munda said here today.
Various developmental schemes valued at Rs 500 are being taken up in these areas, he said.
Apart from rural development department, there would be coordination with departments like water resources, tourism, health services, education and public distribution, the minister said.
Commissioners have been given special powers to execute works in these areas, he said.
