Devotee dies enroute to Vaishno Devi temple in J&K

A Mata Vaishno Devi devotee died on the way to the cave shrine in Trikuta hills of Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police officials said Thursday.

Krishna Rao (60) from Nagpur suddenly fell unconscious near Bhairon temple on the way to the Vaishno Devi temple from Bhawan, officials said.

He was immediately shifted to the dispensary near Bhairon temple where doctors declared him brought dead, they added.

The body was shifted to the hospital in Katra, which is base camp of the hill shrine and after completion of post-mortem the body was handed over to the deceased's family, they said.
