Scores of devotees attended the 'Pushpa Yagam' festival held today at the police parade grounds here.
According to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) PRO, the festival marked the end of nine-day-long spiritual programme of Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams conducted under the aegis of TTD.
Lok Sabha MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and others were present on the occasion.
Scriptures say that the festival is observed to pray the Lord to save mother earth from natural calamities such as earthquakes, cyclones and epidemics.
A huge quantity of variety of flowers is offered to the deity as a part of this festival.
