Large number of devotees today prayed at the ancient Nageswaraswamy temple and offered worship to Nagakanniamman at Nageswarankoil after the slough of a snake was found around the deity.
Devotees, who worship the main deity, wanted to perform archana for idols of Nagakanni amman, Raghu and Kethu and when they reached the sannidhi they found the slough over the Nagakanniamman just as a garland.
Following this, a large number of devotees thronged the temple and worshipped the deity.
