The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 20.45 crore in the year-ago period.
The firm maintained growth by registering 5.90 per cent increase in its turnover for the quarter at Rs 211 crore as against Rs 199.24 crore for the same period last year.
"Due to El Nino factor, sentiments were low amongst the farmers and dealers, due to which there was weak offtake. All our new products have been positively received by the farmers, including SEMPRA, which has been recently launched in India for the first time," Dhanuka Agritech Ltd Chairman R G Agarwal said in a statement.
It has a network of more than 8,600 distributors and dealers selling to over 80,000 retailers across the country, reaching out to more than 10 million farmers.
