The 36-year-old "Elysium" star was anxious to find out if he had landed the role of Rebel Alliance Captain Cassian Andor in the new "Star Wars" spin-off film, but he almost missed the crucial call because he didn't recognise the UK number which flashed up on his cell phone in the middle of the night, reported People magazine.
"I saw this British number calling me at 2am, and I have family in England, so I thought it was, like, a drunken cousin from a bar or something," he said.
"I ran over and saw that it was Gareth Edwards wanting to give me some news!. I just jumped around like crazy - it was quite a special day.
