"The Fate of the Furious" will mark the first film in the 'Fast & Furious' series since 2006's "Tokyo Drift", not to feature actor Paul Walker, who died in a car accident in 2013 and his co-star Vin Diesel hopes that he would be proud of the upcoming movie.
Diesel, 49, paid tribute to Walker in an Instagram post, sharing a photo of the pair at an Award ceremony, where they won the prize for best on-screen team for their work in the original 'Fast and the Furious' movie.
"You Pablo have given me strength, purpose and resolve. I promised you we would make something you would be proud of and I pray that we have... Miss you," he captioned the picture.
Walker last appeared in the seventh installment in the popular action franchise, which released on April 2, 2015.
