"There are a lot of differences between the conclusions of the JPC draft report and the documents from the department. So, he (Baalu) has said he was forced to send those documents to all JPC members and had sent copies of those important documents," Karunanidhi told reporters here.
Baalu also said that despite repeated requests to the JPC Chairman to check with committee members on their availability for its meetings, they have been "ignored" and today's meeting has been arranged, Karunanidhi said.
Outside allies BSP (2) and SP (one) voted with 14 others of the ruling coalition to approve the report that accused former Telecom Minister A Raja of "misleading" the Prime Minister and "belying" the assurances given to him.
To queries on his opinion on the Centre's proposed ordinance, over the Supreme Court's judgement on convicted MPs and MLAs, Karunanidhi said "it is a legal issue. So, I don't want to discuss whether it is right or wrong."
On reports that a Sri Lankan court had said it would nationalise all captured boats from arrested Indian fishermen in the neighbouring island, he said "I don't want to answer this without knowing details of this judgement.
