The film features an ensemble cast of Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Shefali Shah, Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar and tells the story of a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip.
In the trailer, Kamal Mehra (Anil) and Neelam Mehra (Shefali) are seen worrying about their two children played by Ranveer and Priyanka.
Ranveer is sporting a clean shaven, suave look in the movie, which is a departure from his bearded looks in his previous films "Gunday" and "Ram Leela".
Anushka plays Ranveer's love interest, while Farhan is seen wooing Priyanka.
Zoya's last film was 2011 road-trip, friendship tale "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara". She had also directed a section in "Bombay Talkies" in 2013.
