The company had clocked Rs 108.63 crore profit from continuing operations during the same period a year ago.
Its total income during the October-December period increased to Rs 1,947.76 crore from Rs 1,391.76 crore in the year-ago quarter, the company said in a filing to BSE.
The firm's total expenses during the said period were at Rs 1,783 crore, higher from Rs 1,277 crore in corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal.
