The roadshow by AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal here was today stopped briefly by district and police officials, who issued challan for one of the vehicles for not having proper papers.
The motorcade of AAP leaders were stopped and checked near Gauriganj when Kejriwal and his colleagues were holding roadshows in the support of party nominee from Amethi Kumar Vishwas on the first day in Amethi and Gauriganj assembly segments, party sources said.
According to Circle Officer, Navin K Singh, the roadshow was stopped briefly as AAP leaders were addressing people in the middle of the road, thus blocking traffic on the high way.
"One of the vehicle in roadshow was challaned as the concerned vehicle was not having proper papers related to pollution, commercial certificate etc," Singh told PTI.
The roadshow was stopped and challan was issued in the presence of Sub Divisional Magistrate of Gauriganj and Additional SP of Amethi Munna Lal.
