Avantika Singh has been appointed the new Collector of Vadodara, while Rao has been shifted in the same capacity to Bharuch, official sources said tonight.
City Police Commissioner Satish Sharma was transferred yesterday and he has been replaced by E Radhakrishna, who was DIG (Junagadh Range).
Both Singh and Radhakrishna took charge today.
As per EC guidelines, no officer connected with elections, directly or indirectly, should be allowed to continue in the present post if he/she has completed three years.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, the EC announced that bypolls to the Lok Sabha seats vacated by Modi and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will be held on September 13.
Modi had retained Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and vacated Vadodara, from where he won with a record margin of 5.7 lakh votes.
