Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has decided to extend its scheme for reduced rates of sewer and water development charges of unauthorized regularised colonies by six months.
"The board has extended this scheme to bring in more colonies under its ambit. Previously this scheme had benefited around 1.4 lakh consumers," an official statement said.
Under the scheme, a flat rate of Rs 100 per sq meter is applicable towards water and sewer development charges in case of properties falling in D, E, F, G and H categories of unauthorized colonies which are being used for residential purposes.
"The scheme would be implemented on first come first serve basis and the terms and conditions will remain unchanged," it added.
