"In collaboration with the Indian Air Force, DLF is disbursing over 12,000 kg of food relief packets, which will be air-dropped, in the worst-hit areas," country's largest real estate firm said in a statement.
The first consignment of relief supplies weighing 6000 Kg were loaded on to a special Air Force aircraft at Delhi airport today, which is being air-dropped, it added.
The second consignment of the relief material weighing another 6000 kg will be sent shortly. A team of DLF Foundation and its associates are in Srinagar to assist in relief work.
According to latest reports, more than 1,25,000 people were rescued from the worst-ever floods to hit the state in 109 years.
