Rapper DMZ was taken into police custody "for several issues outstanding" including USD 400,000 in unpaid child support.
The 44-year-old hi-hop star, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was taken into jail while he was on his way to Radio City Music Hall in New York, reported Ace Showbiz.
A warrant was also reportedly issued for bail jumping, being an aggravated unlicensed motor vehicle operator, and another criminal complaint.
DMX was supposed to perform at the Master of Ceremony concert which featured music acts like Shabba Ranks, Rakim, and Mase. It went on as scheduled without the "Party Up (Up in Here)" hitmaker.
DMX has a long history of trouble with the law. His past arrests ranged from animal cruelty, reckless driving, drug possession, to probation violations.
