Doctor asked to compensate patient for negligence

A District Consumer Forum in Shamli has asked a doctor to pay a compensation of Rs 72,000 to an Army jawan for not providing him proper treatment after he suffered an accident.
Forum chairperson S K Yadav penalised Dr Arjun Bohra for negligence in treating Army jawan Jaivir Singh.
Singh, in his complaint, alleged that the doctor did not provide him proper medical treatment after he suffered an accident on July 3, 2002.
The forum has directed the doctor to pay the compensation to the jawan within 30 days.
